Today I went to a small coastline trip with the student association.  It was like a typical tourist trip: several stops with limited time, and of course some stops at rest areas that have restrooms.

Our city is an industrial city, so the scenes along our way were very refreshing to me (especially in the springtime). Green grass, cows, THIN horses, and sheep which don't stop eating...

(taken on the bus so not clear enough)

This trip was called "Trip to North York Moors National Park," but actually we didn't go to the park at all. No moors. (I wonder what they look like.) Our first stop is a place famous for vacations on a summer beach: Scarborough

Just like thinking of Tai-tung when I was in Pon-hu, I thought of Coney Island in Brooklyn the second I saw the amusement park at the beach!

And of course, that impression also came from the stores on the big street by the beach:

There were lots of game stores, hotels, and people selling sweets, cotton candies, and snacks that I've never seen. It's a pity that they don't sell hot dogs. Well, this is England, we don't want something that American...

I chose to visit Scarborough Castle, where is so windy and chilly in such a sun-shinny day.

The earliest remains could be dated back to 12th century. The Keep above originally looks like this picture:

And this is the main fireplace in the great hall of the keep. The red bricks are said to reflect the heat back to the building and to prevent losing the heat.

This is taken from another angle. A lot of families were picnicking on the other side of the keep, where they can face the sea and let little children have fun on the wide grass.

On my way back to the bus, I passed by this church. Anne Bronte's grave is in the graveyard next to it.

(I don't write comments in the album this time because I'm going to comment them in my articles.)
